Current Opportunities: 

 

Liberty Middle School  - May 26th & 27th

The Law Related Education Committee has been asked to provide speakers to the Liberty Middle School 8th grade Civics Classes on Thursday, May 26th and Friday, May 27th.  One speaker per class is needed during the following times:  

  • 7:45 am - 9:03 am  (Thursday only)
  • 10:15 am - 11:05 am  (Thursday and Friday)
  • 10:41 am - 11:37 am  (Thursday only)
  • 12:15 pm - 1:15 pm  (Thursday and Friday)

The school is located at 3801 Union Mill Road, Clifton, VA.  They are looking for speakers in the areas of civil/criminal litigation, juvenile law, and local court systems.  The speaker will be presenting to the civics classes in the lecture hall.  Liberty MS attended the court tours on April 6 and 7, so the experience is still fresh in their minds.  If anyone is interested in speaking to the 8th grade civics classes at Liberty MS, please contact Sonya Duchak at 703-627-1228 or sduchak@fairfaxbar.org.  

 

South Lakes High School - June 14th & 16th

The Law Related Education Committee has been asked to provide guest speakers on criminal law to the AP Government classes at South Lakes High School, located at 11400 South Lakes Drive, Reston, VA, on June 14th or June 16th.  The classes times are as follows: 

  • 8:10 am - 9:40 am
  • 11:20 am - 12:50 am
  • 1:26 pm - 2:56 pm
