The Neighborhood Outreach Program provides a much needed pro bono service to the low income and poverty communities.  On weekday evenings, attorneys interview clients at sites throughout Fairfax County to provide free civil legal advice and referral information. Although not required, the volunteers are encouraged to do more, if possible.  The dates and locations vary, and participants can pick and schedule their own locations and frequency.  The legal assistance provided through this program is often the only access to legal help available to these clients.  Run by the Northern Virginia Pro Bono Law Center, this training will prepare volunteer attorneys to participate fully. The 4.5 credit MCLE program is free to active members of the Virginia State Bar in exchange for pro bono service.
