This MCLE program will prepare the volunteer attorney to represent low-income clients throughout an uncontested divorce matter.  The training includes sample pleadings and a mock ore tenus hearing with Judge Ortiz of the Fairfax Circuit Court. Although not legally complex, these divorces have a great impact on the lives of the clients.  This 2.5 MCLE credit program is free to active members of the Virginia State Bar in exchange for undertaking representation in 5 uncontested cases over the course of one year through the Northern Virginia Pro Bono Law Center, with mentoring available throughout the entire process.
